Crowned U12 Boys Gold/Silver Dimitri Cup Champions

The Miami Breakers Football Club (MBFC) 2011 Black Team emerged victorious in the U12 Boys Gold/Silver Cup at The 20th Annual Dimitri Cup, held on January 21st and 22nd, 2023. The team secured their place in the final after winning one game, drawing one, and conceding just three goals in the group stage, before battling through the knockout rounds to lift the coveted trophy.

In their opening game, the MBFC 2011 Black Team faced the Cape Coral Soccer 2011 Cyclones Boys Black, a tough opponent who had also come to the tournament with high hopes of winning the trophy. However, the Breakers showed their class and fought hard to secure a 2-1 victory, setting the tone for their impressive tournament campaign.


Their second game saw them face off against Strictly Soccer FC Boys 2011 Select, another strong team in the competition. In a closely contested match, the MBFC 2011 Black Team managed to hold their opponents to a goalless draw, earning a valuable point and securing their place in the semi-finals.

The semi-final match saw the Miami Breakers take on the Cape Coral Soccer 2011 Cyclones Boys Black once again. The Breakers were determined to repeat their previous performance and put in another impressive display to come out on top with a 1-0 win, securing their place in the final.


In the final, the MBFC 2011 Black Team faced off against Strictly Soccer FC Boys 2011 Select once more, in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter. The Breakers took control of the game early on and managed to secure a comfortable 2-1 victory, with goals from two of their star players.


The final whistle was met with joyous celebrations from the Miami Breakers players, coaches, and supporters, who had witnessed their team lift the coveted U12 Boys Gold/Silver Cup trophy. Despite the shootout loss, their resilience and composure under pressure were truly inspiring.

On April 5th and 6th, Miami Breakers participated in the “Clash of the Champions” tournament, where the top youth soccer academies in the region came together, featuring boys’ and girls’ teams from the Future Stars U8 to U19 categories. Our teams showed incredible talent, commitment, and great sportsmanship throughout the event.
